This week, live on The Mosen Explosion, can I just get my money back?

Once again that happy time has rolled around when I’ll be with you for three hours of fun, conversation and great music on The Mosen Explosion. The show also forms the basis of the Mosen At Large Podcast, so if you want to influence the podcast in real time and watch it as it’s recorded live, do join us on Mushroom FM.

This week has been a remarkable one for news, with senators in the US making a sham out of their constitutional duty and Britain finally leaving the EU. I’ll be commenting on both events and the common lesson they can teach us.

Hear ye, hear ye! The Mosen Explosion is back, and shorter than ever!

In December, we were of course urging people to hark! Now that it’s January and there’s an impeachin’ going on, we say “hear ye, hear ye” and welcome back to the Mosen Explosion after its summer break.

The first thing to note is that the show is now mercifully shorter. It still starts at the same time, 2 PM Eastern, 7 PM in the UK, but it runs for three hours rather than four. This is to allow me time to put the Mosen At Large Podcast together, which features some talky bits of the show, and still have some time to hang out with the family on my Sunday afternoon.

Today at 2 PM Eastern, 7 PM UK, join Jonathan as he broadcasts just with his iPhone and the Backpack Studio app

Hi there! It's Jonathan here and in a special show later today at 2 PM Eastern, 7 PM UK, I’ll be broadcasting live on Mushroom FM for an hour doing a full music show live from my iPhone thanks to the Backpack Studio app.

Ushering in the final year of the decade on our Mosen Explosion New Year special

We’re almost there! 2020 will be the final year of this century’s second decade, and we’re seeing in the new year in style in our traditional Mosen Explosion new year special. It’s coming live from New Zealand, which means we get to try 2020 on for size before it gets to the rest of the world.

Join the Mosens at 2 PM Eastern for a Mosen Family Christmas

As we do on Christmas day every year, Bonnie and I, with some guest appearances from the bananas and others, are live with A Mosen Family Christmas on Mushroom FM. As always, it can be heard on Christmas day at 2 PM Eastern, 7 PM in the UK, that’s on Boxing Day at 8 AM in New Zealand.

We’ll have some great old Christmas stories and songs, and catch up with people from around the world about their Christmas day and how it went or is still going.

Counting them down all over again

If you missed all or some of the awesome fun and the great music you voted for, we're replaying the countdown in its entirety. The 10 hour musical and social media extravaganza begins right after Steve Cutways Canadian Christmas special at midnight Eastern as we head into Christmas morning, that's 5 AM in the UK, 6 PM in New Zealand.

Do tune in to hear the songs everyone voted for as well as some of the silliness that accompanied the music by way of our Christmas party.

One more chance to hear the 2019 countdown, exclusive to Mushroom FM.

Got a ticket to our Christmas party? Find out where you're seated

It's the most wonderful time of the year. The time when you make a list, we check it twice, and we count down the top 100 holiday songs as chosen by you.

As part of the fun, everyone who voted received an invitation to our Christmas party. If you forgot to vote, well, you're probably on Santa's naughty list, but tomorrow we will be able to allocate you a seat at a table if you ask nicely.

Countdown to the countdown. We're crackers at Christmas

There’s not long left! You have until the end of Friday US Eastern time to vote for your top 10 Christmas songs. The consequences of voting are enormous. You contribute to our top 100 countdown which we play this Sunday, and you also score yourself an invitation to our Christmas party.

The countdown to the Countdown, what's up with this virtual party thing?

There’s still time to vote in Mushroom FM’s holiday countdown and to receive an invitation to our Christmas party. But time is running out rapidly with votes closing at the end of Friday 20 December Eastern US time.

IN this series over the last couple of days, we’ve discussed the process of making the list, checking it at least twice, and choosing the selections we’ll play this Sunday starting at 9 AM Eastern based on your votes.

The countdown to the Countdown, how we choose what we play

You have until midnight US Eastern time this Friday to cast your votes in Mushroom FM’s holiday countdown and receive an invitation to our CHristmas party where we play the top 100 on 22 December.

From a listener’s perspective, you may think that this show would be an easy one for the fun guys to prepare for. After all, the listeners are in charge of what songs make the chart, so that’s the music taken care of, right? Well, it’s not quite that simple.
