Jonathan Mosen made a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit in New Zealand's Queen's Birthday Honours

Jonathan is one of the most inspiring people I’ve ever known. Today, the New Zealand Government has announced that my husband and Mushroom FM's founder has been made a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

Today is the Queen's Birthday holiday here, an occasion where outstanding New Zealanders are honored. Jonathan's honor is for services to the blind community.

Jonathan has devoted his life to making a difference for blind people, through his effective advocacy that has changed laws in New Zealand and around the world, his work with assistive technology, Internet radio and so much more. As he begins a new role as CEO of Workbridge, a national disability organisation here in New Zealand, we are sure his contributions are far from over.

We know that the Mushroom FM audience will join me, Heidi, Richard, David and Nicola in congratulating Jonathan on receiving this honour. His investiture ceremony, at which he will receive his medal and be officially made a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit, MNZM, will take place later this year.
