It's a sort of Father's Day Mosen Explosion

It was father's day 21 years ago that i found out we were expecting our little Heidi banana. Although we didn't know she was going to be a Heidi banana at that point because it was too early for even the most ultra of ultrasounds to know that. Now, I'm celebrating father's day with four rapidly growing bananas. How the time flies.

As I write this meagre little post, it is father's day here in New Zealand. All four bananas are here for a lovely roast lamb lunch prepared by the incredible Bonnie, and I'm grateful for my own Dad who has always been there, a man of integrity who has always provided for his five children.

So we may well be able to coax all four bananas into the studio for a full-on father's day banana report.

Of course, it won't be father's day in New Zealand when the show airs, because that happens on a Monday. And where it is Sunday, in the northern hemisphere, it's not father's day. They do theirs in June. But every day's a good day to remember the cool dads everywhere.

As well as our mega Banana Report, we'll be talking about the Apple event and what you're hoping for, or perhaps not hoping for. It's the weirdest Apple event I can remember in that most of the talk is about what they're taking away, the headphone jack, and not anything they're adding. Are you in the market for a new iThing and if so, what would convince you to shell out the dosh?

Have you registered for our amazingly huge massive awesome monstrous outstanding incredible wonderful beautiful best Mushroomstock ever? Sheesh, I'm sounding like an Apple executive now! Don't forget to get your seat while the getting is good for our really cool super duper fabulous...virtual live music festival on 17 September. A lot of work is going on behind the scenes as we prepare for this, and I can tell ya, it really is going to rock quite severely!

Bonnie will be here with our bulletin, and we may even have David banana guesting with us for some of the show.

There's plenty of room for your interaction via Twitter and email, as well as requests.

Oh what a happy time we shall have, at 2 Pm Eastern, 7 PM UK, right after Uncle Darren.

And can I say while I'm in deep gratitude mode, thanks to all who have tuned in an increasing numbers, and for longer, to the new sound of Mushroom FM. It's the station I've always wanted to run, and always wanted to be able to hear. It's like radio nirvana, man. Glad to be doing it.
