on The Mosen Explosion, it's Monday Over Here

Our official time on Mushroom FM is Eastern US time, so we always say that the Mosen Explosion airs at 2 PM Eastern on Sunday, because it does.

But that means that at this time of year, it’s 8 AM on a Monday in New Zealand. And even at other times of the year, it’s still Monday in New Zealand. Incredible!

So why is it significant that it’s Monday in New Zealand when the show is on, eh? Why?
Well, the answer is that it’s the 27th of February when the show is on.
And just why is the show airing on the 27th of February such a big deal, I hear you cry? Tell me, tell me do you scream, as your heart starts to race. Well that’s a jolly good question and I’m glad you asked it.

14 years ago to the day, the very day mind you, Nicola Mosen entered the world. Squee! And you know what was such a super cool trick about that? It was also my parentals’ 50th wedding anniversary! I mean to say, how clever were we, producing a brand new Mosen banana on the day, the very day mind you, that it was their 50th wedding anniversary? Pure genius!

So this year, my parentals are celebrating 64 years of marriage, which is a beautiful achievement, and Nicola is celebrating her 14th birthday. Wow!

And we’re celebrating with another Mosen Explosion in which we feature a banana report from David Mosen Banana. David escaped his younger sister’s birthday party complete with bouncy castle for a very good reason. He’ll tell you about it on the show.

We have heaps to talk about, including my take on the most useless, pointless, stupid mechanical invention ever to be invented by an inventor, overly clever text-to-speech engines, and much more.

Bonnie will be here with her bulletin, and we’ll look back at this day in history.

So I hope you’ll join the Mosen crew for a fun, interactive, friendly four hours right after uncle Darren, here on the mighty Mushroom FM.
