Exploding into a big banana birthday month, it's The Mosen Explosion

Last week’s Mosen Explosion was broadcast live from the great month of May, even though for many listeners, it was still April because they were having trouble keeping up with us. I mean dude, we are so advanced!

But now, everyone’s made it to May, a big banana birthday month. Yes, three of the four bananas have birthdays in May ya see, which makes for a month that’s busy, and tough on the old wallet. Of course, this is no ordinary banana birthday month, since this year, we celebrate our first banana 21st.

This week, amid the music and fun, we’ll be talking about significant birthdays, as the age of significance seems to vary a lot from culture to culture, and even country to country. Is the 21st birthday such a big deal where you are as it is in New Zealand, assuming you’re not here of course? What did your parents give you for the birthday that in your culture symbolises adulthood, and what sort of party did you have?

I’ve got plenty to tell you about after a busy week, Bonnie will be here with her bulletin which will no doubt be full of the Kentucky Derby, and of course we’ll take a look at this day in history.

What will really make the show hum along is your interaction. Be in touch via phone, email or Twitter. We’ll gladly play your requests and hear what’s going on in your life.

It’s a friendly four hours of music and conversation. The Mosen Explosion is up right after Sunday for Tea with Darren and ahead of The Early years with Steve, at 2 PM Eastern and 7 PM UK on Sundays, that’s Monday morning at 6 AM in New Zealand.

It’s exclusive to, and proudly on, the home of the jolly old fun guys, Mushroom FM.
