Deep Dive is heading in the right direction

This week on Deep Dive we enjoy the jazz, blues and soul talents of Australian singer Renee Geyer. We learn that it's a man's man's world, experience stares and whispers and stand on shaky ground.

Tune in at 4 PM Eastern Monday, which is 6 AM Tuesday in Eastern Australia. Or at 6 AM Eastern Wednesday, which is 8 PM in Eastern Australia. March up to that SmartSpeaker of yours and demand that it play Mushroom FM and you will be there in a trice.

Deep Dive, exclusively heard on Mushroom FM, is home of the fun guys.

An Easter Themed Song Remembers When

Since The Song Remembers When will air on Easter Sunday from 4-6 pm eastern, I thought an Easter themed show would be appropriate. I hope you'll join me for music that brings back Easter memories, even if most of the songs have nothing to do with Easter whatsoever to most people but me! Also, listen back to a classic Easter Sunday baseball moment from the Milwaukee Brewers in the new baseball segment. Do you have a favorite baseball team? Want to engage in some good natured smack talk? Bring it on!

The time continuum continues this week on The Early Years!

After you've enjoyed Come By The Hills with Sara Hillis, tomorrow afternoon from 02:00 PM to 05:00 PM, don't touch that dial, device, PC, Mac or smart speaker and join me for The Early Years where and when you'll hear the best music from the first half of the Rock and Roll era with nods to other decades and genres.
Now that the time continuum has sorted itself out, I'll continue the theme begun four weeks ago, "songs about time", playing more songs about time, including your suggestions. There are so many more songs that I will continue this theme next week.

Tomorrow, It's a Listener-inspired Sara Smiles!

So, I got a message from a listener today with a brilliant idea! This listener suggested that we take some time on Sara Smiles to go through the sound track of Jesus Christ Superstar. I've chosen to do this on Western Good Friday, which is tomorrow at the time of this writing. Now, anyone who may find this offensive is free not to listen, and I truly do hope that those who commemorate Christ's Passion on this day will be doing so in all peace and quietness of heart.

The "Juke In The Back" focuses on the " soul that came before rock n' roll," the records that inspired Elvis, Buddy Holly, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and countless others.
The Clovers were the most successful rhythm & blues vocal group from 1951 to 1955, racking up 16 top 10 R&B singles during that time-frame. Three of those singles went to #1. Though they didn't have a huge career defining hit, like The Dominoes did with "Sixty Minute Man," The Clovers claim to fame was consistency.

Deep Dive visits a land downunder

I've been emailing our newest Fun Guy Melissa about her first show of the song remembers which she began with two Men At Work songs, which prompted me to play an encore show about them which I made in 2020. They are an Australian rock band. So we visit a land down under, ask who it could be now, and meet Dr Heckyll and Mr Jive.
