The Countdown Chart is Live, and a Sincere Apology to Mastodon Users

We had a great countdown yesterday with lots of interactive fun and frolic, and of course the songs! If you missed any of the countdown or just want to see how a particular choice of yours might have performed, the chart is now live in 2025! Simply go to the same page you used for voting, and you'll find every song listed along with their positions in the countdown!

Also, we'd like to take the time to apologize especially to those using Mastodon during the countdown to send in their responses but whom we failed to acknowledge on air. While it's true we can't always acknowledge everyone's responses due to time constraints and other factors, there were a lot of Mastodon responses we missed quite simply because we didn't see them. This is on us and our failure to explain things correctly. IN fact, as your resident Countdown blogger for this year, I suppose it's really on me, Sara Hillis, and I'd like to say that I'm very sorry. On one hand, Mastodon is great because it's not dependent on one massive corporation and its dedicated servers to make it work, but on the other hand, getting all the federated servers to play nicely with each other requires a bit of doing. Next year, we will be sure to explain things correctly so that everyone gets the most out of their Countdown experience. Our hashtag did trend across Mastodon, however, so that's something to be proud of!
