Yes, today I have an encore presentation for you of Come by the Hills, the Folk and Celtic music show on Mushroom FM. We'll be revisiting November the 5th, 2022, as my husband and I are having friends over today. I'm sorry I can't be with you for a live show, but I hope you'll enjoy this one. And just a heads-up for next week, I'll be playing some songs in honour of Remembrance Day, so if you've got any requests, do feel free to get in touch.

The Beatles have now released the music video for "Now and Then", directed by Sir Peter Jackson.
I would like to express my sincere gratitude, love and admiration for my daughter Heidi, who has literally spent hours researching the imagery in this video so she could produce this detailed description. It is so vivid and detailed, I had to share it with you.
After you've enjoyed Come By The Hills with Sara Hillis, tomorrow afternoon from 02:00 PM to 05:00 PM, don't touch that dial, device, PC, Mac, smart speaker or tablet and join me for The Early Years, where and when you'll hear the best music from the first half of the Rock and Roll era with nods to other decades and genres.
It's a single musical decade for the foreseeable future on The Early Years as I begin the biggest countdown I've yet done this week; the top 600 of the 1960s as tabulated by Sirius XM Radio in 2019 based on listener feedback on their "60s on 6" channel.

As you'd expect, there is an enormous amount of excitement and publicity surrounding what will be the Beatles' final song, "Now and Then". Only a handful of people in the know would have predicted that 2023 would be a year in which we heard brand new Beatles music.
Join me, Jonathan Mosen, for a two hour live listening party on Mushroom FM at 9 AM Eastern on Thursday. Check our schedule to find out where that is where you are. It will be replayed 12 hours later, but if you possibly can, since this is history being made, you'll want to hear this live.
The "Juke In The Back" focuses on the " soul that came before rock n' roll," the records that inspired Elvis, Buddy Holly, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and countless others.
This week, the "Juke In The Back" spotlights the "Prince of Primitive Cool," Rosco Gordon. His mostly self-penned tunes, feature his unique blend of mid-tempo shuffle with a slightly behind-the-beat rolling barrelhouse piano line. He was a master at making his recordings sound rough, but there was also a lot of blues sophistication buried under the simplicity.
This week on Deep Dive we take a road less travelled and enjoy the talents of singer-songwriter Charlie Dore. We experience sister revenge, are falling, and hear about a dog out looking for his day.
Join me at 4 PM Eastern Monday, which is 7 AM Tuesday in Eastern Australia. Or at 6 AM on Wednesday, which is 9 PM in Eastern Australia. Just tell that SmartSpeaker of yours to play Mushroom FM and you will be there momentarily.
Deep Dive, where we focus on one artist for one whole hour. And guess what? It can be heard exclusively on Mushroom FM, home of the fun guys.

It’s Jonathan Mosen, inviting you to share a special moment with me this coming Thursday at 9 AM Eastern, when I host a live show counting down to the Beatles final song, “Now and Then”.
You won’t have to have heard too many of my radio shows to know how important the Beatles are in my life. I know many of the Mushroom FM family share that sentiment.

Once again, we have reached one of those exciting parts of the year where clocks are changing at different times around the world. If you live in a country where clocks are reverting to Standard Time this weekend, please note that you are doing this one week before North America. Since Mushroom FM observes North American Eastern time for our schedules, all the programming on Mushroom FM and Mushroom Escape will air an hour earlier than you are used to for one week until the clocks go back in North America.
Well, it's my 74th birthday tomorrow so I'll be having a musical party to which you're invited.
You can contact me any time by email at steve at mushroomfm.com with comments about the show and suggestions for future shows.
