Songs to welcome the month of June and long songs part 19, this week on The Early Years!

After you've enjoyed The Variety Vault with Paul Merrell, Wednesday afternoon from 2 to 4 PM, don't touch that dial, device, PC, Mac, smart speaker or tablet and join me for The Early Years, where and when you'll hear the best music from the first quarter century of Rock with nods to other decades and genres.
There will be lots of songs from those other decades and genres this week as I welcome in June with four songs, one appropriate for the month and three appropriate for the day The Early Years first airs this week, June 3, or the third of June.
Then I'll return to Long Songs, the theme I started on my return May 7, 2025, and hadn't visited since November 12, 2025 until last week's show when I had time to play two songs from the 60s. This will be part 19 and I have two or three more shows to finish this theme.
